报告摘要:Recent advancements in cryptography are driving innovation across multiple domains, yet they also introduce significant challenges. This talk will explore three key areas at the forefront of cryptographic research: privacy-preserving technologies, post-quantum cryptography, and privacy in artificial intelligence (AI). In the domain of privacy-preserving technologies, we will delve into fully homomorphic encryption, secure multiparty computation, and verifiable computation—each offering promising avenues for enabling secure data processing while preserving privacy. Post-quantum cryptography represents a vital response to the looming threat posed by quantum computing. We will discuss the ongoing NIST competition aimed at standardizing quantum-resistant algorithms, and the challenges of migrating existing systems to post-quantum standards. Lastly, privacy in AI is an emerging field of concern. We will highlight how fully homomorphic encryption can enable privacy-preserving machine learning, with a particular focus on private neural networks, showing how cryptographic tools can ensure confidentiality in AI-driven environments.
报告人简介:王华雄,新加坡南洋理工大学校长讲席教授。2013至2015年担任校数学科学部主任,现兼任新加坡国家可信数字研究中心联合主任、隐私保护研究中心副主任。分别于1996年、2001年取得以色列海法大学数学博士、澳大利亚卧龙岗大学计算机科学博士学位,此前曾在澳大利亚麦考瑞大学、卧龙岗大学从事教学与科研工作,主攻密码学及网络空间安全领域。累计指导三十余名博士生,受聘为多份国际期刊编委,参与百余场国际会议程序委员会工作并多次出任主席。曾荣获澳大利亚 - 新西兰计算机协会最佳研究奖,两度担任亚洲密码学会议程序委员会联合主席,并于2026年当选国际密码学会会士。
