报告摘要:We study certain classes of predator-prey systems with a small parameter. The systems are fast-slow planar ODE systems. We are interested in the limit cycles of these systems which exhibit relaxation oscillations and approach “singular closed orbits that consists of piecewise smooth curves as the small parameter approaches zero. In this talk we will talk about some recent results on the existence of single and multiple relaxation oscillations. The existence of such a solution is obtained by finding a single closed orbit and then constructing a possitively or negatively invariant thin annular region near this single closed orbit and applying the Poincare-Bendixson theorem.
报告人简介:艾尚兵,分别于1984、1987年在山东大学获得数学系本科、硕士学位,1987-1993年留山东大学工作;1993-1997年在匹兹堡大学理学院任研究生助理;1998-2000在匹兹堡大学理学院任助教;1999年在匹兹堡大学获得博士学位;2000-2002年在佐治亚理工学院动力系统与非线性研究中心做博士后; 2002年在阿拉巴马汉茨维尔大学任助教;2008年任副教授。艾尚兵教授是微分方程、动力学系统及其应用等领域的国际知名专家。主要从事微分方程,动力系统,泛函微分方程,时滞差分方程问题。在SIAM J. Appl. Math.,SIAM. J. Math. Anal.,J. Differential Equations,Trans. Amer. Math. Soc.,Proc. Roy. Soc. Edinburgh Sect. A,Nonlinearity,J. Math. Biol.,J. Dynam. Differential Equations等国际知名期刊上发表论文30余篇。
